An interesting note is the movie's depection of the involvement of the Roman Catholic Church, and the nefarious secret society group, The Illuminati, as relates to the role they play throughout the movie. The film goes on to unfold a classic "clash of the titans" of man vs. "God" in which man has attempted to find ways to attack, or discredit, the reality of the Eternal. Science is used in the movie to completely destroy the religious institution of the Church so that, in the end, the supremacy of man will appear to reign. Ultimately, in classic Hollywood fashion, the story ends happily ever after only when the diabolic character masquerading as "an angel light" is exposed and immolates himself in a blaze of fire. So the reader may now ask, what does this have to do with spiritual warfare? Well, I'm glad that you ask.
Let it be know that we are under attack! From every direction, wickedness sets its sight on those who strive for righteousness in order to extinguish the light that shines within those who are set-apart! The Hebrew Scriptures reveal a most intense conflict that takes place in a dimension not perceived by the naked eye. It is a struggle that has been waged since time has come to be; a contention so powerful that none are exempt from the contest that is waged throughout this entire planet. For spiritual warfare is a reality that though few recognize, effects every soul that is born and breathes the breath of life.
The nature of this war is one that is subtle, covert, innocuous and stealthy. We encounter the first attack on the heavens in the third chapter of the book of Genesis, when Khawwah, or Eve, is confronted by the serpent. It is interesting to note that the Hebrew word for serpent is nachash, which means to hiss, whisper (a magic spell), to prognisticate, to enchant, to diligently observe. This therefore gives one the understanding that this was no ordinary serpent, but one who was master of words and in possession of a poisonous tongue. The attack that Khawwah suffered was not at all physical, but spiritual and emotional in that the serpent appealed both to her intellect/reason and her emotions. For this is the very nature of spiritual warfare; it is a challenge to one's perception of reality and enticement to indulge in one's senses instead of mastering the desires that are found present in our fearfully and wonderfully made body.
As a result of Khawwah being beguiled, or deceived, by this whisperer, she then went on to attack her very own husband, Adam, because of the guilt that came over her. When Adam then ate from the tree, by being enticed by his woman a strategy that is very often used by the enemy because of man's desire to please his (wife) the two of them were left unprotected by the shield that once covered them and eventually lost their life "in the day that they ate from the tree." For they were given clear commands from their Maker how they were to conduct theirselves while in the field. When they decided to go against the commands they were given, they suffered great loss. What we must glean from this tale is that allegiance is an all-important factor in this war. The battle front is the mind and we must always have our minds dedicated to the Leader of our lives so that we may be made aware of the wiles of our enemy who seeks to steal, kill and destroy any and all of those who oppose his forces.
Yet in the Creator's great mercy, he provided a plan of redemption that is clearly demonstrated when he addressed mankind's nemesis by telling him that there will be "enemity between [his] seed and [the woman's] seed; he will bruise [the serpent's] head, and thou shall [the Messiah's] heel." This is where the matter gets thick. For it is this enemity that we find the apostle Paul speaking about when he states "the mind of the flesh is enmity against YHWH; for it is not subject to the law of Elohim, neither indeed can it be..." Here we find that it is the internal struggle, the inner voice, the inclination to satisfy our desires that is the great whisperer and enemy of our spiritual life. What we must do is to understand this is take away the veil that lies over our mind's eye and see the Scriptures as they are revealed through the light of inspiration from the set-apart Spirit. For Khawwah's struggle was an internal one, and dealt with the internal battle that warred within her being. Fortunately she was given an opportunity to make atonement and bore fruit that eventually would lead to the One who would redeem His people from their captivity to sin.
Nonetheless, the fruit of Adam and Khawwah's actions went on to produce two types of beings in the kingdom of humanity; the seed of the serpent and the seed of promise from the woman. These are the two fronts of the war that we find present here today amongst us. For as we live in a world today full of corruption and immorality, we still find that there are those who strive to set theirselves apart from the madness and lawlessness that is taking place today. The world as we know it is the kingdom and playground of the serpent and his seed where all sorts of depravity and licentiousness is abominably committed. On the flip side, the earth and the fullness thereof is that which belongs to YHWH and His seed. The entire conflict that we are experiencing here today is about the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, an inevitable destiny that will take place no matter how hard the serpent's seed strives to prevent from manifesting.
We have seen the devil's hand throughout history marked by the scores of corpses and bloodshed that has been left in his path. Also, the blasphemous teachings of the New Secular Order, which seeks to outright banish the Creator from Its own creation. These are the workings of the diabolical one who rebels from the righteous life that humankind was made to live. Yet as we have distanced ourselves from our origins and have drawn closer to the judgment, we find that the world which we now live has grown ever more dark. Current event after current event demonstrates that many have become marked by the beast and revel in the cesspools that have been dug to mire souls in the moat of sin. Even children are becoming more and more wicked because they are not being instructed in the ways of righteousness that parents are obliged to impart to their offspring.
As we course dangerously forward on the warpath towards Armageddon, there will be many, many casualties of those who will not only taste the first death, but also the second death. There is only one guarantee to protect your being from the wrath to come from heaven that purge the earth of all iniquity and wickedness; REPENTENCE! For these are dark days, when the depraved seed of the serpent are seeking to squeeze the world in its grip and swallow the entire earth whole so that they may feast on the flesh that gives them life. Behold, we are under attack and we must know what our orders are from our Master so that we may find ourselves victorious in this battle for our souls. We must remove the haze that has so clouded our minds and see the world for what it is; the kingdom of Satan! Let us "come out her" so that we may not "have fellowship with her sins...nor receive of her plagues." For out of the heavens I hear a voice heralding a battle cry: "FALLEN, FALLEN IS BABYLON THE GREAT AND IS BECOME A HABITATION OF DEMONS, AND A HOLD OF EVERY UNCLEAN SPIRIT, AND A HOLD OF EVERY UNCLEAN AND HATED BIRD."
