only in America do slaves anticipate a dream
some far fetched fantasy disney like looney tune
of wishing for dixie hanging free from a mason's tree
tied to the cotton patch singing minstrels

of cursed chain gang memories

it seems like some blacks 

want to be dragged back
like james byrd by white citizens 

in councils conspiring to create 

an indsutry of prison labor and 

modern jim crow communities
sure time has brought change and
a strange name has been selected to lead
but still some africans proceed

to sell the souls of negroes 

down the river to massa
where they stand naked 

on auction blocks in front of

in the oval office
