when all that they
oppose is anything
that outshines self
bcuz riding for justice
is a lifestyle
a committment
a sacrifice of life
limb and family
for the sake of
the greater good
riding for justice
is not just wearing
a hood for Trayvon
it goes beyond
appearance and
form bcuz it is substance
it's doing what
doesn't require recognition
it's organizing to address
a condition that won't
change by itself
it's more than reading
books from off a shelf &
quoting lines at open mics
it's the fight for life &
all that is right in light
