We are all but breath enmeshed in flesh
truly creations best
a soul possessed with life and death
turning right or left
until the final step in our destination is met
yet born for much more
though most ignore the higher purpose &
whore to live life worthless
defined by material searches &
sensual gratification
under intoxication
slithering like serpents for prey
every day withering away
because we choose to obey
the physical impulses that lead us astry
on insatiable marches to an early grave
morally depraved
with hearts enslaved to sin
it seems as if the only time that we awaken
is right before our lives begin to end &
then there is the afterlife
whose price was paid for in full
by the Master's sacrifice
which brought to light
the plight of the righteous elect
who walk circumspect
in accordance with the Architect's blueprint for life
because even though many fallacies abound
the Torah's truth was sent to fight
the vain mentalities that are known
to drown reality with futile living
in a world that brutal and unforgiving
of any incurred debt &
lest we forget
there is a judgment we all must face
with or without mercy or grace
so let us learn to embrace our nature's best &
resolve to live the rest of our lives
without any future remorse or regret
so that we may be one
with the woman robed in the sun
standing on the moon
wearing a crown of twelve stars.
